WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY ABOUT PROFIT ADVENTURE

'It's been 1 1/2 years since you facilitated our Profit Adventure Workshop.  I felt it appropriate to look back on our performance and understand the lasting effect of this excellent training.

It's hard to quantify our people's understanding of how the small things they do can mean so much to the overall performance of the company. I find people have a greater understanding of the big picture.  Most now have a fundamental understanding of cash, profit and overall sales volume's impact on the company.

Our day's sales outstanding (receivables) have declined by almost 10%.  Our staff has negotiated more favorable terms from several vendors and finished goods inventory has declined by 16%.   These improvements have had a very positive effect on our working capital.

In summary, Profit Adventure has had a lasting impact on our team."

President, clothing manufacturer

'Since running the Profit Adventure session our staff has really understood the need to work as a team to achieve our business plans.  The sales department understands the need for growing the business and being responsible with their pricing practices.  For the first time I believe they understand that not all gross profit dollars are of equal value.

Beyond creating a more understanding work environment, our most notable and quantifiable improvement centers on trading margin.  Our sales force now understands the cost of reducing price in a business with low margins and have successfully introduced new products and programs that have resulted in almost a full point of margin improvement.

It is amazing to us the desire they have to improve the quality of the business, even though they do not receive direct benefit within their compensation plan.

It was a real learning for us and has brought tremendous value to our business."

Vice President, Operations, Master Distributor

The Profit Adventure program we ran nine months ago focused on margin improvement and inventory turn improvement, two critical elements to our business plan.

We used the action items everyone agreed to as steps to move us forward to maintain our focus.  With your training and our follow-up, I am pleased to inform you that we realized a full point of profit margin improvement within sixty days of the session, and more importantly we have been able to sustain that gain for the past nine months.  During this time of margin focus our warehouse sales volume has outperformed the market.  Our sales people are focused on managing their margin and evolving the product mix to improve margin.

Inventory performance has also improved measurably.  We have put programs in place to more closely manage new and slow moving items, and the sales force has been much more supportive and successful selling the items we actively stock.

Thank you for the session.  It has truly made all operating groups understand the financial measures of our business and the need to work as a team to achieve success."

Division General Manager, Electrical Distributor

'I would like to express how impressed our employees were with the session of Profit Adventure you facilitated for our Store Managers and Merchandise Managers.  The game truly drove home the importance of how each Managers daily decision-making processes impact profitability.  Specifically, the greatest value in assisting our decision makers was the application of the 1% difference to real situations faced in our retail business environment.

The fast pace and ever-changing retail environment requires our company to remain a leader in the industry.  We believe Profit Adventure is an important tool to build business skills and a good reminder of how big an impact a 1% difference can make."

Vice President, Retail Operations, Drugstore Chain

'In years past we have implemented a variety of management training programs, but have never found the right tool to develop financial skills.  Profit Adventure was the perfect solution in a fun atmosphere.  It has been a great tool to teach our managers how their day-to-day decisions impact profitability."

Vice President, Human Relations, Manufacturing Company
