ABOUT PROFIT ADVENTURE
'It's been 1 1/2
years since you facilitated our Profit Adventure Workshop. I felt
it appropriate to look back on our performance and understand the
lasting effect of this excellent training.
It's hard to
quantify our people's understanding of how the small things they
do can mean so much to the overall performance of the company. I
find people have a greater understanding of the big picture. Most
now have a fundamental understanding of cash, profit and overall

Our day's sales
outstanding (receivables) have declined by almost 10%. Our
staff has negotiated more favorable terms from several vendors and
finished goods inventory has declined by 16%. These
improvements have had a very positive effect on our working capital.

The Profit
Adventure program we ran nine months ago focused on margin
improvement and inventory turn improvement, two critical elements to
our business plan.
We used the action
items everyone agreed to as steps to move us forward to maintain our
focus. With your training and our follow-up, I am pleased to inform
you that we realized a full point of profit margin improvement
within sixty days of the session, and more importantly we have
been able to sustain that gain for the past nine months.
During this time of margin focus our warehouse sales volume has
outperformed the market. Our sales people are focused on managing
their margin and evolving the product mix to improve margin.
Inventory
performance has also improved measurably. We have put programs
in place to more closely manage new and slow moving items, and the
sales force has been much more supportive and successful selling
the items we actively stock.
